What to Expect at a MINI Service Appointment

MINI service

A lot goes into maintaining your MINI vehicle. We’re outlining the MINI service tasks you can expect at your next maintenance appointment at MINI of Wesley Chapel.

Filter Replacement

There are multiple filters in your vehicle that are necessary to keep your vehicle clean and keep unwanted debris out. At service appointments, these filters are inspected and replaced, if need be:

  • Cabin filter
  • Oil filter
  • Fuel filter
  • Air filter

Oil Change

Your engine oil works to keep your engine lubricated and limit friction and heat. As it ages, it can no longer work the way it should, so it needs to be flushed and replaced to minimize undue wear. On average, vehicles need an oil change every 3,000 miles but can go upwards of 10,000 miles between visits with synthetic oil.

Tire Rotation

As you drive, your tires begin to vary in inflation and wear. We routinely rotate the tires on your vehicle to help. Typically, tires should be rotated every 5,000 miles. We’ll also inspect your tires during your visit to make sure they haven’t become too worn and unsafe to drive.

Brake Inspection

We’ll also regularly inspect your brake system during service appointments. We want to make sure they haven’t become unsafe either. Your brake pads require routine replacement and, occasionally, your rotors will have to be replaced as well.

Fluid Top-Offs

During your visit, we’ll also check the fluids under your hood to see if they need to be topped off. We’ll inspect your brake fluid, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, and coolant levels. These fluids may also require replacement as they can become compromised over time.
